Baby Hamish

Look at this chubba!! This little babe has actually just turned one and I hope he had the happiest of birthdays. That first year in it’s haze of night feeds, nappies, cuddles and screaming both flies and drags. Something about that first birthday is such a marker of time moving forever forward. No matter how slow it felt like it was going at the time, you get there and look back and wonder where it all went. Since having Ollie I am so much more aware of my time and moments with him. I hold on and pay attention more to try and burn it all into my brain because I know I have forgotten so much with Evie and Harry. I remember those moments when Evie has our only babe. The true centre of our universe. There is nothing quite like that first baby and the shift in your family and the new love that is created. When both of you will do anything (and I mean ANYTHING) to make her laugh, you both rush to pick her up after a fall and almost fight over who gets to comfort her, both of you marvel at every little noise or facial expression that comes out of that little human. Of course it is wonderful when the next one comes along as well but that first experience into parenthood is a life changing step that you can never be entirely prepared for.

This sweet family brought back all those feels watching them with their gorgeous little girl. I hope these images make you remember some sweet moments of your own.
