How to take the stress out of your wedding day
It is meant to be the happiest day of your life but sometimes it can seem more stressful than it is worth. Having to think about the venue, the cake, the flowers, the music, the MC as well as everything else that goes along with a wedding can be really overwhelming however it is important to remember the real reason you are going through all of it. You are marrying the love of your life! At the end of the day that is the only thing that matters, so if everything doesn’t go to plan just remember, it won’t matter. All that matters at the end of the day is that you guys are married and get to begin your lives together officially.
My best tip to take the stress out of the day is planning. Planning and run sheets will save your sanity. Everyone involved in your day should have a run sheet so on the day there are plenty of other people who can deal with whatever comes up and they don’t need to bother you with any questions.
Money is also often a big cause of wedding stress. As unpleasant as it is it is best to have a conversation at the beginning of the process to find out if both sets of parents are able to contribute to the wedding and if they are, the value. It will give you an overall budget to work with so you know how much you can spend on your suppliers. After you have a budget, make a list of all the suppliers and then prioritise them in order of how much value they will add to your wedding. Then you will know what you are willing to compromise on and what you want to be able to splurge on!
Trying to do it all yourself is a common issue with wedding planning. There are plenty of people around you who want to help so make sure you delegate some tasks to make it easier on you. Also use the knowledge from suppliers like myself to help you out! We do this for a living so we can be super helpful with recommendations and processes. I have a template timeline to work off and I find it often helps the couple set all the timings from the day from the ceremony to hair and make up to what time the speeches should be.
At the end of the day don’t loose sight of the main focus, getting married is the most important part. Walking down the aisle, locking eyes with your partner and then nothing else matters from there!

I was lucky enough to capture this gorgeous baby girl just after lock down ended. It felt so good to be capturing memories again. She is one luck bubba, wish my room as as decked out as hers! If you are having a baby this year I would love to capture some sweet moments for you.
